I’ve been a shading operator since 1996, working across all kinds of live events and television shows. I began in an era not so long ago when television was still entirely analog. Then came the digital revolution, high definition, 3D, HDR… Beyond the technical evolution, this craft has taught me how deeply our technical decisions shape aesthetics — how we serve an image, a light, a vision, a direction. That same craft, which I still practice with today’s cameras, eventually led me to color grading — a space where creativity is no longer constrained by the immediacy of live production.
